The vibe:
A balmy summer afternoon by the pool, c. 1978. On a table beside you, an icy glass of Tab glistens with condensation atop the July 31st issue of People magazine. The opening chords of 'Year of The Cat' from your portable radio mingle with the sounds of a chirping sparrow and the low hum of a distant lawn mower.
You reach for a tube of tanning gel, and smooth it along your arms and shoulders. As you bask in the sun, the gel's mandarin orange and floral top notes gradually unfold, revealing deeper undertones of tonka and clove as it melts on your skin. You place a folded towel over your eyes, blocking out just enough light to allow you to drift into a lazy, sun-warmed nap

Trim the Wick: We've already trimmed the wick for your first burn, so simply light and enjoy. But before re-lighting- every time - always trim the wick to 1/4 inch to ensure a clean, even burn.
(ps: Cuticle scissors make great little wick trimmers.)

Burn Time: For the best experience, allow the candle to burn for appx. 4 hours the first time you light it. Subsequent burns should be 3 - 4 hours, ideally. Please note: your candle is designed to form a thin shell of wax around the sides that will slowly melt down and away with each burn. By the end of the candle, all wax will be melted.

Safety First: Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep it away from drafts, pets, and children -- and things that can catch fire.

Stop using when only 1/2" of wax is left. Nothing lasts forever, and candles in glass vessels can get very hot at the very bottom of the container. Put it out and savor the memory.
